Our Inspiration

The Dilemma

1. There is an observable pattern to disease. Most people get sick ONLY at certain times of their lives. Often, something changes in the individual’s life prior to their illness or hospitalization.

The change can be:

  • Minor or major.
  • In the personal life or in the community where the individual lives.
  • A memory of past events or worry about a future event.

It is far more important to know what PERSON the DISEASE has, than what disease the person has”. ~ Hippocrates ~

2. Not all aspects of disease can be explained by laboratory testing or other scientific methods.

3. Our thinking and emotional patterns cause disease.

4. Suppression of an individual's true and authentic self leads to dis-ease states.

The Findings

Mind and body are inseparable and have a bidirectional relationship that influences the state of each other.

1. The mind has the capacity to influence reality.

  • Your psychological landscape can create health or illnesses.
  • Disease can be a reflection of your mental state.

2. The body knows how to heal itself.

  • Our bodies come with an inbuilt healing mechanism.
  • All medications used to treat our bodies and minds do so by changing the internal body chemistry. They either increase or reduce levels of chemicals already present in our bodies.
  • These levels can also be changed without drugs by self healing strategies.

 3.Mind is medicine.

  • A lot of dis-ease states can be avoided and even healed using self healing mental processes.

The Solutions

Brain- Mind - Body training has been shown to change the psychological physiological, neurobiological and immunological aspects of the body. Cognitive training(mental training), meditation and voluntary controlled breathing exercises have been proven to change biochemical and molecular processes in the body that result in healing.

  • Rewires and changes the brain structure and enhances communication between different brain areas.
  • Has analgesic (Natural pain control) effect on the body.
  • Regulates physiological functions at cellular and molecular level.
  • Enables coordinated metabolic activities which helps maintain homeostatic balance of the autonomic nervous system that promote health.
  • Allows for metabolic cleansing which reduces inflammation and dis-ease states.
  • Maintains DNA integrity which prevents cancer, enhances longevity and prevents premature aging.
  • Offers a natural anti stress system.
  • Regulates the immune system thereby enhancing disease fighting capacity.
  • Enable whole body relaxation, restorative sleep and have anti stress properties.

2. Controlled Breathing exercises:

  • Reduce heart rate, spontaneous respiratory rate and Electrical activity of the brain.
  • Improve levels of alertness, induces a state of calm and altered levels of consciousness
  • Increase release of Nitrous oxide gas which enhances airway smooth muscle relaxation and promotes pulmonary gas exchange thus improving respiratory problems.
  • Balances body energy levels at the cellular level by Regulating mitochondrial oxygen utilization which enhances mitochondrial function.
  • Activates centers in the brain that enable fear discrimination and enhanced memory.
